€ 6.000
The dagger features the classic gilded brass fittings with the distinctive Army eagle crossguard and orange celluloid grip, which remains free from cracks or repairs. The pommel displays the characteristic oak leaf decoration with an even aged patina that complements the rest of the hilt.
The blade is bright and clean, bearing the desirable WKC Solingen knight’s head trademark. It retains an excellent polished finish with only light age-related marks consistent with careful handling and storage. The blade fits firmly within the scabbard with no noticeable movement.
The matching pebbled scabbard retains much of its original gilt finish and exhibits an attractive, untouched patina. Both suspension bands are secure, with no dents or significant damage noted.
Included with the dagger is an original Army General’s portepee, correctly tied to the hilt, together with a matching pair of General’s brocade hangers. The hangers retain their silver bullion finish with light age toning and are fitted with D.R.G.M.-marked hardware throughout, demonstrating quality wartime manufacture.
