An exceptionally rare unissued original Waffen-SS SS Sig Rune collar tab set, preserved in outstanding condition and retaining its original RZM inspection label. Complete matching sets with the factory label still attached are seldom encountered and represent some of the finest surviving examples of wartime SS cloth insignia.
The set comprises the regulation right-hand SS Sig Rune collar tab and the matching blank left-hand collar tab, both manufactured in black wool and finished with the correct silver-grey twisted Waffen-SS piping. The reverse retains the original buckram reinforcement, while the labelled tab still bears its original RZM paper manufacturer’s label, confirming official Third Reich production.
For collectors of elite German militaria, untouched examples of this quality are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.

During the Third Reich, every officially approved item of SS uniform insignia was manufactured under the strict control of the Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM). This quality-control organisation licensed approved manufacturers and ensured consistency in production standards throughout the NSDAP and Waffen-SS.
