This Waffen-SS Westland cuff title is an exceptional full-length, unissued example of the RZM-pattern insignia produced for members of SS-Regiment “Westland,” later SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 10 “Westland” of the 5. SS-Panzer-Division “Wiking.”
Preserved without evidence of having been fitted to a tunic, shortened or altered, it retains both finished ends and, most importantly, two RZM/SS paper control labels. Its remarkable state of preservation places this piece firmly within museum-standard collecting territory.

The “Westland” cuff title appeared in 1940 for the regiment formed within the developing Waffen-SS and associated particularly with Dutch and Flemish volunteers.
SS-Regiment “Westland” subsequently became one of the principal infantry components of SS-Division “Wiking,” alongside formations including “Germania” and, during the division’s earlier organization, “Nordland.” Following later Waffen-SS organizational changes, the formation became SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 10 “Westland.”
The Bundesarchiv preserves extensive records concerning the organization and deployment of Waffen-SS formations, including material relating to the 5. SS-Panzer-Division “Wiking.”
Period reference material confirms that the Waffen-SS Westland cuff title appeared in several manufacturing forms. Early and mid-war enlisted and NCO examples included RZM-regulated machine-embroidered types. Later production also included machine-woven versions.

Furthermore, the black woven ground retains a deep, even appearance. Silver-grey embroidery remains crisp, while the border retains unusually strong definition.
Both RZM paper labels have survived remarkably well. Natural paper toning and minor age-related marks remain visible, yet the printing and control details retain excellent clarity.
Factory end finishing is also preserved.
Many surviving wartime cuff titles were cut, shortened or permanently sewn into loops when attached to uniforms. For that reason, an untouched full-length example represents the form in which the insignia originally left the supply system.
