This original NSDAP 10 Year Long Service Award is the bronze grade of the Nazi Party Long Service Award (Die Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP), instituted to recognise members who had completed ten years of loyal service within the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP). The award was officially introduced in 1939 and represented the entry grade of the three-class series.
This example is professionally court mounted, making it an attractive and increasingly desirable display piece. The bronze-finished cross features the characteristic radiating sunburst behind the cross arms with the central NSDAP eagle and oak wreath design. It is suspended from its original brown ribbon with white edge stripes, correct for the 10 Year award.
Court-mounted political awards are encountered less frequently than loose medals, adding further collector appeal.

The NSDAP Long Service Awards were established on 2 April 1939 and were awarded in three grades recognising 10, 15 and 25 years of service within the Nazi Party. The bronze 10 Year Award represented the Third Class and was presented to members who had demonstrated a decade of continuous party service. The reverse of each award carried the inscription “Treue für Führer und Volk” (“Loyalty to Leader and People”).
Today these awards are collected as historical artefacts representing the political award system of Germany during the period.
Court-mounted NSDAP Long Service Awards are significantly less common than loose examples and display exactly as they would have been worn by the original recipient. Their original period mounting adds authenticity and visual appeal.
