An original WWII German NSKK service dagger manufactured by the renowned Carl Eickhornfactory of Solingen. This is a desirable transitional example, featuring both the Eickhorn squirrel trademark and the RZM M7/66 manufacturer code on the reverse ricasso—a combination highly sought after by collectors as it represents the changeover from early commercial markings to the standardized RZM system.
The blade retains the deeply etched “Alles für Deutschland” (“Everything for Germany”) motto on the obverse. It remains bright overall with visible original cross-graining, accompanied by light age-related staining and typical runner marks consistent with careful storage and use over the past 80+ years. The point is excellent, and the blade has not been aggressively polished.
The rich reddish-brown wooden grip is in excellent condition with no visible cracks or repairs. It is complete with its original SA enamel roundel and nickel eagle, both securely fitted. The nickel-plated crossguards display an attractive age patina and fit tightly to the grip.
The scabbard retains its original gloss black finish with nickel-plated fittings, remaining straight and free from significant dents. All original screws are present, and the dagger is accompanied by its original leather hanger, completing an attractive display set.
