An original early-pattern NSKK (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps) service dagger manufactured by Malsch & Ambronn of Steinbach, one of the recognised Third Reich edged weapon makers. The reverse ricasso bears the distinctive Malsch & Ambronn, Steinbach trademark, while the blade retains the deeply etched and darkened motto “Alles für Deutschland” (“Everything for Germany”), a hallmark of early SA and NSKK daggers. Malsch & Ambronn produced approximately 12,000 SA/NSKK daggers and is considered a desirable maker among collectors.
This example features a rich brown wooden grip fitted with the original nickel eagle and enamelled NSKK/SA roundel. The nickel crossguards remain well defined, with the lower reverse crossguard stamped “Sa”, indicating issue to the Saxony SA Group, a common characteristic of early NSKK daggers that originated from SA production.
The blade is bright and attractive, displaying the original motto clearly with a crisp maker’s trademark on the reverse. It shows light age-related surface marks and the expected runner wear from being sheathed but remains in very good collectible condition.
The original brown anodised scabbard is complete with matching nickel fittings and retains an attractive finish with only light handling marks. Also included is the original leather vertical hanger, making this an appealing complete display piece.
