More about the product

This dagger retains its attractive reddish-brown wooden grip, inset with the original nickel-plated national eagle and enamelled SA roundel. The solid nickel crossguards and tang nut display an even, untouched patina that matches the scabbard fittings well, suggesting they have remained together for many decades.

The blade presents exceptionally well, retaining a bright finish with a crisp, deeply etched motto and clear maker’s mark. Light age-related marks and fine surface scratches are consistent with careful handling and honest use, while the edge and tip remain in excellent condition.

The original brown anodised scabbard is complete with matching nickel mounts and suspension ring. It shows expected service wear, including surface scratches and finish loss from age and storage, but remains straight, solid and free from significant dents.
